BOBBY BARTLETT

Bobby Gene Bartlett, 82, of Wildwood, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany and was retired from PSE Metals.

Mr. Bartlett was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Lily Bartlett; brothers, Bill and Calvin Bartlett; granddaughter, Ashley Bartlett.

Survivors include his sons, Glen (Kim) Bartlett of Hixson, Tenn.,, Jon (Cory) Bartlett of Rossville; stepson, Allen Sexton; grandchildren, Clayton Bartlett and Taylor Walker; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Smith and Audrey Walker; sister, Joyce Bartlett; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Tuesday, May 14, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with full Military Honors.

IDA HOWARD

Ida Louise Carver Howard, 89, of Trenton, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024.

Our Mom and Dad were married on May 10, 1952. She was of the Baptist faith, loved gospel music and her church family. Mrs. Howard was a 1951 graduate of Dade County High School. She married Charles Howard on May 10, 1952 and was the most wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Hoyte Carver, Sr., and Annie Elvira Millican Carver; husband, Charles Raymond Howard; siblings, Herman Eugene Carver, Mary Jo Carver Lynn, Elizabeth “Betty” Gail Carver, Hannah Catherine Carver Lee, Joyce Hazel Carver Marr, Charles Hoyte Carver, Jr., Diane Carol Carver Mays, and Alan Dale Carver; brothers-in-laws, William Junior Lynn and George Donald Smith.

Survivors include her sons, Bobby and Tony Howard; daughter, Carmen Howard (Charles) Godsey; grandson, Brentley (Melanie) Cravey; great-grandchildren, Kaylee (Matt) Shull, William and Priscilla; great-grandchildren, Samuel and Carmen; grandson, Eric (Jamie) Godsey; great-grandsons, Brycen, Maverick, and Mason; sister, Doris Lee Carver Smith; brothers-in-law, Charles Lee, Jimmy Marr, and Rudy Mays; nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and great-nieces.

Funeral services were Monday, May 13, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles “Chuck” Carver officiating. Interment was in Maxwell Cemetery, Flat Rock, Ala., with Russell Howard, Mike Lee, Brentley Cravey, Matt Shull, William Cravey, Nicholas Tinker, Bobby Howard, and Tony Howard serving as pallbearers.

TRICIA JAMES

Patricia “Tricia” Marie James, 32, of Trenton, passed away May 7, 2024.

Tricia was born Oct. 4, 1991, to Eva Reed and the late Wesley Shows. She was known for her feisty spirit and free demeanor. Tricia found joy in spending time with her children, nieces, and nephew. A cherished friend to many, Tricia will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her mother, Eva (Troy) Reed; daughters, Loaralai Marie James and Scarlett Rose James; sister, Rebeca Leann Dalton; brother, Garrett Marshall Reed; uncle, Brandon McBryar; two nieces; extended family members.

Family and friends paid their respects and offered condolences to the family on Friday, May 10, at the funeral home.

ANTONIO RAMIREZ

Antonio Luna Ramirez, 43, from Higdon, Ala., and El Fresno, Guanajuato, Mexico, passed away May 4, 2024, in New Castle, Pa.

Antonio was born Oct. 29, 1979, in Mexico to the late Felix Luna Juarez and Herminia Ramirez Sanchez. He was a fitness fanatic who enjoyed working out and running to maintain his well being. Additionally, he was a skilled mechanic with an affection for classic cars. Above all else, Antonio loved his family dearly and enjoyed providing and spending time with them.

Survivors include his wife Graciela Camacho; children, Juan Luna, Fernando Luna, Jorge Luna, Alex Luna, and Angel Luna; grandchild, Giovanni Antonio Luna; brothers, Efrain Luna, Rosalio Luna, Jesus Luna, Felix Luna, Solomon Luna, and Martin Luna; sisters, Abdulia Luna and Manolia Luna; nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Friends and family are invited to honor and celebrate Antonio’s life at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral services were Thursday, May 9, at the Bryant chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Father Joshua Altonji and Brother Robert Shrader officiating. Interment was at Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

DONNIE ROGERS

Donnie Gray Rogers, 81, of Ider, Ala., passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

Mrs. Rogers was a retired loan officer for First Southern Bank following 18 years of service and was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved her family, husband, kids, grandchildren, working in her flowerbeds and cooking, especially bread.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kelvie and Bertie Gray; sons, Chuck and Stacey Ellis; sisters, Annie Ruth Gray and Doris West; brother, Kenneth Wayne Gray.

Survivors include her husband of 20 years, J.D. Rogers; children, Greg (Angela) Ellis, Jason (Melissa) Ellis of Ider, Ala.; step-children, Terry Rogers, Ider, Ala., Angie (Jeff) Chambers, Rising Fawn, and Pam (Mike) Trennell, Ider, Ala.; 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Nayomia Rogers; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Friday, May 10 in the funeral home chapel.

MARY USRY

Mary Ann Michelle “Mickey” Usry, 76, of Sylvania, Ala., passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2024.

Although she lived in the Sylvania area in her later years, at heart, she was a true “California girl” who met an Army guy named Eugene and moved around to a variety of military bases supporting our troops. Together they raised five children,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene.

Survivors include her children, Bill, Ursula, John, Jody, and Stacy Usry; many grandchildren.
