So if you're hoping the group could generate 100+ leads a month because your close rate dictates you need volume like that to close what you need, then BNI is not a good fit. But if you only need 3 to 20 good leads per month then you could likely do very well if you joined BNI.

The cost of membership is divided into two main areas:

Regional office and administrative and support costs, training materials, BNI royalties and BNI Connect fees.

It costs about $400-600 per year to join a BNI chapter (plus the cost of meals/coffees). Overall your expenses could run upwards of $800/year with food and transportation costs factored in. Many people feel that the cost is offset by the referrals and relationships generated through the organization.

We are not a multi level marketing organization but we are about marketing and we are definitely about networking. So there is definitely a difference there.
