Chapter Text
“Love is not love until love’s vulnerable.”
Theodore Roethke
“You’re done already? Let me see,” Minji looks over Hyein’s answers, thoughtlessly twirling a pen between her fingers. Exams were around the corner and only seemed to grow increasingly harder by the year and, if Hyein wanted any chance at passing her entrance exams in the future, she had to take Minji’s tutoring seriously. “You got this wrong again.” Minji shows her the page, lightly pointing at the problem with her pen.
Hyein whines, burying her face into her hands. “I hate trigonometry…”
Minji lets out a fond breath. “You’re getting better though, slowly,” Minji glances at the previous practice tests she’d given to Hyein a couple weeks prior. “You’ve improved over the weeks, and you still have time.”
“How do you even remember all this crap anyway? Aren’t you in university?” Hyein tilts her head as Minji nods.
“I am but after tutoring kids for so long, these things kind of get stuck in your brain.” She chuckles. Both girls perk up at a gentle knock on Hyein’s door.
“Knock knock~” Hanni, Hyein’s mom, smiles and pokes her head in whilst pushing the door open with her hip. She’s carrying a tray of snacks for both Minji and Hyein, a small but thoughtful gesture to keep their spirits high.
Hyein gasps. “Food!” She eagerly makes space on the small table, allowing space for the tray. “Thanks mom.” Hanni grins and ruffles her daughter’s hair affectionately, ignoring her childish whines that follow.
Minji averts her gaze during the interaction, mustering a polite smile once Hanni catches her eye. “Thank you, Miss Pham.”
“Oh my god- I keep telling you! Hanni is fine!” She chides playfully. “When you call me Miss Pham I feel old…” Hanni pouts to which her daughter snorts.
“You are old though.”
“Hey! You little-,” Hanni tuts before turning to Minji again, smiling apologetically as she notices how she looks visibly uncomfortable. “Sorry— like I said, there’s no need to be so formal.”
“I’m only trying to be-“
“Respectful, I know,” Hanni smiles warmly. “You’ve been teaching Hyeinie for a month now, don’t feel like you need to be so professional with me, okay?” Minji tucks in her lips and nods, not wanting to argue. Hanni looks toward the table, brows furrowing at the various papers and maths equipment littering the space. “Triangles?”
“Trigonometry.” Hyein corrects, already having helped herself to a bag of chips.
“It’s a popular topic on middle school tests these days,” Minji adds. “It’s one of the harder subjects in maths but Hyein’s making great progress.” Hanni sighs happily and pats Hyein’s back.
“That’s a relief… you’re honestly a godsend, Minji-ah, without you my Hyeinie would be so stressed with all of this work…”
Hyein squeezes her eyes shut and flushes from embarrassment. “Mom…”
“I’m nothing special,” Minji chuckles and waves her hand dismissively. “I’m just happy to be able to help.”
Hanni tuts softly. “You’re too humble for your own good, there’s not many tutors out there who are good at teaching but also get along with their students…” she shakes her head and stands up, heading back to the door. “Anyway! I’ll get out of your hair for now, study hard Hyein-ah~”
“Thank you for the snacks again.” Minji smiles.
“It’s my pleasure.” Hanni leaves, quietly shutting the door behind her.
Minji relents and enjoys a short snack break with Hyein, mostly listening as the teen rambles on about her school life. It’s kind of endearing listening to the school problems of a middle schooler, Minji envying how simple her life is—oh the days where her biggest problems were school exams. Actually, not quite, that’s never been her biggest problem but she digresses.
“…and then mom also got me this cool shirt the other day- oh yeah! You wanna see?” Minji smiles and nods, setting down the cookie she had been eating, already itching to get back to it—she wondered if they were handmade.
Hyein walks over to her closet and pulls out the shirt in question, her new favourite—an oversized tee with a graffitied rabbit design. It was very much Hyein, clearly her mom knew her style well. A pang of hurt hits Minji in the chest as her own mother comes to mind, as well as the disapproving look on her face she had whenever she saw Minji’s choice of clothing.
“Unnie?” Hyein’s smile fades slightly at the odd look on the older girl’s face. “Do you… not like it?” Minji’s eyes widen and she profusely shakes her head, smiling reassuringly.
“No, no! I love it! I bet you’ll look great in it, Miss Pham— I mean, your mom, knows you well.” Hyein’s toothy grin returns as she holds the shirt against her frame, looking down and admiring the design.
“Right? She’s the best.” She giggles.
“Speaking of, won’t she have something to say if we don’t get back to studying soon?”
Hyein whines in defeat, knowing the older girl is right.
Minji wraps up the tutoring a little after five pm, packing her things away and walking downstairs with Hyein. She’s met with the savoury aroma of food, assuming Hanni’s in the midst of preparing dinner. Her assumption proves to be correct as the woman emerges from the kitchen, hair tied back and apron stretched around her curvy figure.
“All done for today?” Minji nods, patting Hyein’s shoulder.
“Yep, Hyein did really well, I have no doubt this upcoming test will be a breeze.” She replies confidently. Hanni hums while watching Minji slip her shoes on.
“That’s good, thanks for tutoring her as always~ we’re really grateful for you.” The sentiment, although sweet, doesn’t seem to reach Minji. After all, who would be grateful for her? And why? Hanni was just saying that to be nice, she’d say the same about any person helping her daughter to get good grades. “Get home safely, okay?” Minji nods and says a final goodbye to them both, leaving through the front door. She’s not sure when or why but Minji’s developed this people watching habit, of sorts, said habit only really being limited to Hanni and Hyein. The single mom had her own bad habit of not closing the curtains until late, allowing Minji to be able to watch what the duo’s interactions were like when she wasn’t present.
They didn’t act any different to be honest, Hanni’s sweet and motherly persona was no act. Unbeknownst to them Minji watches from a good distance, far enough not to be spotted but close enough to be able to watch what was going on. She can’t help but feel jealous watching her own live show of a loving home, Hanni bringing over what seems to be a small sample of dinner to Hyein who’s now relaxed on the couch, carefree and watching tv. Hyein tastes the cooking and reacts positively if her animated expressions meant anything—Minji’s not surprised, just be the smell alone she could tell Hanni was a great cook.
It makes her feel a little sick to her stomach actually, watching Hanni smile and shake her head fondly, wiping away sauce from her daughter’s cheek and licking it from her thumb. It makes Minji’s eye twitch, forcing her to finally look away and start to head home.
Hyein was already 14, the age where you start learning to be independent, take care of yourself—she didn’t need her mom doting on her like that. Minji scoffs at the ridiculousness of her own thoughts, she was Hanni’s child, it made sense, no matter what Hyein would probably always be her baby.
Must be nice, Minji sighs and boards the bus, occupying a seat near the back and turning on her headphones. Could never be me though, she shakes her head, in disbelief she seemed to be jealous over a damn teenager. So what if Hyein had a loving, caring mother to dote on her 24/7? Good for her, she was still young, still in need of that love and support in her life.
Minji? She didn’t need that. She was already 20 with her own apartment, own income, and soon she’d have her own university degree. Minji was doing well for herself, had already managed to navigate her way through life without any help.
It would be nice to have some help with certain things at times, though, someone else with experience. Maybe. Just a thought.
The Korean seems to have lost her appetite, pushing around the food on her plate—a microwaved meal prep she’d made early in the week. See? Minji was great at this whole independence and adulting thing. The rice is harder than Minji would like, her face scrunching in disgust at the chunk of hard rice grains breaking in her mouth, Hyein’s was probably soft, warm with no cold spots—most likely fresh out of the rice cooker too. Minji can’t really remember the last time she had a home cooked meal, her own mother was lazy and low maintenance, perfectly content with instant meals for every meal, not even bothering to change for a young Minji, her own child.
That’s why it’s so much of a surprise to see how well Minji turned out, on the outside at least, the determination to not become anything like her excuse of a parental figure enough to fuel her through adulthood, most days. It was tiring but what could she do?
Her routine is mostly the same day after day, after dinner she’ll shower and maybe stare at her own reflection in self hatred if she feels particularly down. To the average person Minji was undoubtedly beautiful, round eyes, plump lips with a nose many asked their surgeons for, it was such a shame Minji herself saw none of that. There may have been a time where she thought of herself not ugly but not pretty either, a polluted self image only allowing Minji to see all her wrongs. Her hands were too big for a girl, she should really really think about plucking her brows, looking down hurts most of all though.
Are you even a fully a woman?
Minji doesn’t even register her tears until she’s changing and the fabric of her pyjama shirt darkens with her tears. She hopes that tonight will be a night where she forgets her dreams before she wakes up, allowing her to escape reality properly for once—even if it were only for eight hours. Minji closes her eyes and the echoes of her mother’s voice fade away for now, granting the young girl a moment of peace.
The next time Minji arrives at the Pham residence it’s raining, lightly although Minji had a feeling it wouldn’t stay that way—for her sake she hoped the cats and dogs would fall after she arrived back home.
Hanni welcomes her in with a warm smile like she always does. “Hey Minji! Lovely weather we’re having, huh?” Minji chuckles along whilst removing her shoes, looking back up in confusion noticing Hanni with her arms out. “Your jacket, I’ll hang it up to dry for you.”
“Oh- you don’t need to do that, really, I had an umbrella so it’s not that wet anyway.” Minji tries to wave Hanni off but she’s insistent.
“Still! It’s gonna be cold after you take it off, at least when you leave it’ll be nice and warm- come on, hand it here.” Hanni takes it upon herself to peel off Minji’s jacket, the younger stiffening at the unfamiliar touch. Minji was never big on physical affection- even as a kid her mom would probably rather die than hug or kiss her, not even something as small as a head pat or hair ruffle. As an adult Minji is still the same way, rarely hugging or linking arms as many girl friends did around campus, not that she had many female friends anyway, luckily Haerin wasn’t really big on hugs either. Hanni seems oblivious to this internal struggle, disappearing around the corner with Minji’s jacket, the younger taking the opportunity to head to Hyein’s room.
“I figured we’d take a break from trigonometry this week,” Hyein cheers before Minji can even finish her sentence, making her laugh.
“Really? Unnie you’re the best!”
“We’re still gonna do work ya know, just, something you find a little easier… how are you with fractions?”
“I love them!” Hyein giggles, relieved at the name of a topic she’s comfortable with.
“Great, let’s get started then.”
True to her word Hyein really did enjoy doing fractions, breezing through all the worksheets Minji had given her, grinning at each red tick on her paper. Minji’s happy to see her student doing well, as amusing as Hyein’s whines of despair were when struggling with triangles and their sides, she did actually prefer to see the teen happy.
“Wait- I gotta show my mom this, I’ll be right back!” Minji watches Hyein grab the worksheet she’d completed and excitedly leave the room, eager to share her progress with her mom downstairs. Without thinking Minji shuffles closer to the doorway to listen out for Hanni’s reaction.
“Woah! You did all that by yourself?” True, Hyein didn’t need much help when it came to fractions. “Hyeinie that’s amazing! My daughter is so talented~” Hanni smiles widely and hugs the young girl, patting and rubbing her back affectionately. Minji scoffs quietly upstairs, hearing the muffled giggling of Hyein, relishing in her mom’s warm embrace. It was weird if you think about it, every middle school student is expected to know how to solve problems involving fractions so it was nothing special, Minji doesn’t understand why Hanni acts like Hyein had just won a Nobel prize when it was a simple math equation. She sighs at her own inner thoughts again, it wasn’t weird really, any good mother would praise their child’s achievements. Minji was just jealous, plain and simple.
Hyein returns and Minji’s usual soft smile is plastered on her face, concealing her true feelings. They continue studying for another half hour and only stop once Hanni appears, complimentary snack tray in hand.
“Sorry, no cookies today,” Hanni teases lightly. “I actually did make some for you earlier but, unfortunately, someone ate them all…” she playfully side eyes Hyein who smiles sheepishly, ducking her head in shame.
“Sorry…”
“It’s fine, honey, you’re growing so you need to eat well anyway, hm?” Hanni pats her daughters head. Minji envies her level of patience and understanding though she tries to not let it show, refusing to let her mask slip.
“Your mom’s right but I’d be worried if you grew anymore…” Minji chuckles.
“Right? You’ll be sticking out the roof if you get any taller!” Hanni eyes Minji and tilts her head. “Hyein’s taller than you, isn’t she? I don’t know who she gets it from.” Hanni pouts at her own short stature though Minji finds it cute and also little comical as to how Hyein was taller than her own mom, even though she was only two years out of elementary school. “Anyway, enjoy the snacks! Both of you have earned yourselves a little break~” Hanni leaves the room and the two help themselves, Minji’s mind wanders while she eats her bag of chips, how nice she gets praised so often.
“Minji unnie? Is everything okay?”
Minji shakes her head a little, not realising she was spacing out again. “Huh? I’m fine- why?”
“You seemed a little… distracted.” Minji flushes lightly from embarrassment, stuttering a little as she wracks her brain for a reasonable excuse.
“Ah- I, um, I had trouble sleeping last night so…” Hyein nods in understanding.
“Maybe you should try some kind of sleeping pill! Or essential oils, mom loves using those to relax- she always recommends these things to me when I can’t sleep but always ends up putting me to bed herself anyway.” She huffs.
Minji leans in a little, not understanding what the young girl means. “Putting you to bed… herself?”
Hyein hums, brushing oreo cookie crumbs off her cheeks. “Yeah, like, she’ll rub my back while I’m in bed to help me fall asleep, or hold me close to chest- kinda like you would a baby,” Minji blinks, listening intently as the young girl continues. “Ah- admitting this is kinda embarrassing now but I can’t lie, it works like a charm.” Hyein blushes.
“Oh.”
“If you still can’t sleep tonight, you can ask mom for some tips.” Hyein jokes and Minji laughs along, as if.
The tutor session ends around its usual time, Hyein hanging back in her room this time as Minji heads to the door. Hanni was sat on the couch on her iPad and perks up noticing Minji. “Minji-ah! Sorry, I lost track of time, let me go get your coat for you.” Minji nods and heads to the entryway to put on her shoes, Hanni returning moments later and handing over her jacket. When Minji puts it on she’s engulfed by heat, assuming Hanni must’ve hung it above some sort of radiator, visibly melting into the warm fabric. “Aren’t you glad you let me hang it up?” Hanni giggles and Minji can’t help but nod.
“T-Thank you, Miss Pham.” Hanni lets out a fond sigh, knowing she won’t be able to convince Minji to use her first name.
“No worries- oh! Hold on, I have something to give you, wait here.” Hanni rushes off back to the kitchen leaving a perplexed Minji stood by the door, idly fiddling with the strap of her bag. The older woman returns a minute later with a patterned plastic bag in hand with a cookie inside, similar to the one Minji had eaten the last time she came around. “Hyeinie said you liked them, she did eat the batch I made earlier but luckily, I’d already saved one for you.” She winks and playfully sticks out her tongue.
“Oh please, I can’t take this,” Minji smiles politely. “I appreciate it but, no thank you.”
Hanni whines a little and takes a step closer. “Please? I insist, take it as a thank you for being so good to Hyein.”
“You don;t need to reward me for that- I’m only doing my job.”
“Come on Minji-ah~ take it as a gift from me then, just because.”
Just because? The concept of being gifted for no reason was so foreign to Minji, she looks down at the sugary treat, unable to wrap her head around it. Hanni wasn’t sure why Minji was so hesitant to accept the cookie but she persists anyway, for someone who was so patient with Hyein, always finding ways to make math easier for her, encouraging Hyein even when she got stubborn or wanted to give up, this was really the last Hanni could offer.
Minji doesn’t want to accept the cookie but it would be even worse of her to argue with the woman who paid her so generously for a little tutor help. She slowly reaches out, mentally cursing at her stupidly large, trembling hand taking the plastic bag and placing it into her own, carefully so that it doesn’t get crushed by any of her belongings. Hanni smiles softly, beginning to sense there was a little something more to Minji’s reaction—she could see it in her face, eyes averting Hanni’s gaze, biting her lip—she was curious but, ultimately, it wasn’t Hanni’s place to know or pry.
“You’re a student right? You look like you’re eating well but… i don’t know, I know how the financial situations of girls your age can be these days and how you may not always be able to buy the things you want so,” Hanni shrugs. “I thought a little sweet treat would do you good.”
For a moment Minji finds herself at a loss for words because she’s so touched. She wonders if this is what it’s like to be Hyein, someone with a caring mother, who Hanni always has her best interest in mind. “Thank… Thank you, Miss Pham.”
Hanni’s eyes form crescent moon shapes as she smiles. “You’re welcome.” She looks on worriedly out the window next to the front door, noting the rain had gotten heavier in the past hour. “Be careful on your way home, okay? If it gets too rainy or windy… you’re always welcome back here.”
“Miss Pham I really wouldn’t want to overstay my welco—“
Hanni shakes her head cutting Minji off. “Impossible, don’t worry about that kind of thing, especially not when it’s raining cats and dogs out there… I don’t wanna keep you for any longer though, be safe!” Minji nods and heads outside, the door shutting behind her as she opens her umbrella. As she begins to walk away looking back she can still see Hanni in the window looking on with concern, waving with a smile once she notices Minji.
Fortunately the rain was nothing MInji couldn’t handle and she arrives home wet but still in one piece. She can still feel remnants of the heat trapped in her coat as a result of Hanni’s caring nature—it makes Minji want to keep it on for a little longer for some reason. Maybe because if she closes her eyes, she can imagine the warmth is that of a tight hug from Hanni.
Not that she wanted one, of course, Minji didn’t like hugs. Or so she thought.
There’s a change in her routine today, staring back at her from the table is the homemade cookie, baked by Hanni herself. Minji doesn’t know why she’s making such a big deal out of a damn circle made out of flour, eggs and sugar- she could just throw it away but, that would arguably be worse than just eating it, even if she thought she wasn’t deserving of it. Hanni was right, Minji wouldn’t call herself broke but it was rare she found herself in a position to buy nice things for herself often, the last time she’d even had dessert after dinner was a few months ago when Danielle, Haerin’s girlfriend, gave Haerin a few leftovers from her bake sale and Minji was offered a few too.
Perhaps it’s the intention behind the biscuit or maybe it just tastes that good but Minji sheds a tear biting into it. It tastes just as good as the last time she ate it, if not even better.
Hanni’s surprised to receive something in return for the cookie the following week, happily accepting the small plastic container from Minji.
“It’s not much but, I appreciated the cookie, it was really yummy.”
Hanni grins toothily, briefly resembling her daughter. “I’m happy you enjoyed it! I’m sorry I could only give you one… if only Hyein didn’t eat so much.” She chuckles.
Minji heads up to the younger girl’s room as per usual, their session going by smoothly. Minji’s spinning her pen as Hyein diligently works her way through a textbook and she wonders if she’s subconsciously becoming better at this random skill, though she’s suddenly jolted from her thoughts by a sharp, painful sensation in her thumb. Turns out Minji had managed to stab herself on accident, blood pooling at the base of her nail. Her hiss catches the young girl’s attention.
“Ah, unnie that looks really bad! Hold on, I’ll go ask mom if we’ve got any bandaids left,”
“Oh, Hyein-ah you don’t need to-“ but she’s gone already, socked feet thudding down the staircase. Hyein’s back in no time, informing Minji of Hanni being in the kitchen.
“Mom told me to keep studying up here, you go on down.” Minji gives the girl one last look before complying, wincing a little at the small sting.
“Minji-ah, you really need to be careful…” Hanni frowns, taking Minji’s hand into her own. The younger gulps, unable to stop herself from trembling—to her, this feels more intimate than it probably is. “Aigoo… does it hurt?” Hanni looks up, noting the look of discomfort on Minji’s features, as well as her tense shoulders.
“A little bit… it’s not that bad, I’ll manage.” Hanni hums.
“Maybe some cold water will help, here,” she gently guides Minji to the sink, holding her thumb under the faucet. The cooling sensation of the water eases the small burning, Hanni gently patting Minji’s thumb dry with a paper towel. Time slows for the Korean girl and she suddenly becomes hyper aware of everything around her. The ticking of the clock, bright lighting in the kitchen, the warmth radiating from Hanni as she’s so close, carefully applying the bandaid to her thumb. Minji’s heart flutters.
She feels so… cared for?
It’s not like Minji was family, how could Hanni treat her so tenderly?
The older fusses with the simple task, much like she did with many other things—with Hyein. Minji is patient and keeps quiet, for once her mind reflected her actions too, allowing her to be present in the moment. However, she does wonder what on earth is taking Hanni so long, looking down to see what her problem was. Minji’s eyes widen as she realises how unintentionally she’d managed to get the perfect view of the Vietnamese’s cleavage, only now paying attention to the fact she wore low cut tops so often. The height difference doesn’t make it any better (or does it?), Minji enamoured by the slow rise and fall of Hanni’s chest, the smooth, pale skin just begging to be—
“There! All done, kinda awkward place to hurt yourself, huh?” Hanni chuckles looking up, squinting slightly at the odd look on Minji’s face before she realises what was causing it. The mom has to admit, it had been a long while since she’d gotten any kind of attention and she was content with that most of the time but, with the opportunity to respond being right there… Hanni couldn’t resist taking it. She adjusts her shirt by tugging it down ever so slightly, the lace detailing of her bra cup poking out before she quietly clears her throat.
Minji jumps and blinks rapidly, opening her mouth to profusely apologise. Hanni pats her hand softly. “Be careful with that pen next time, alright?” Nodding, the younger hurriedly shuffles back upstairs. You’d think that would be the end of that small moment of tension but no, Hanni makes her way up the stairs awhile to collect the now empty tray of snacks.
“Don’t let me disturb you two~” she hums quietly, crouching and reaching over to gather the empty candy and chip packets. Minji glances over only to be met with another, arguably better compared to the one she saw downstairs, view of Hanni’s cleavage. With her shirt being so loose fitting the fabric dangles due to her position, granting Minji’s eyes access to a lovely pair of C cup tits. Hanni smirks and pretends not to notice, quietly leaving the room. Unfortunately she doesn’t get to see the result of her teasing.
Hyein looks up, clueless as to what just happened. “Minji unnie? Is everything okay?” She asks, noting the older girl’s sudden fidgeting.
“Huh? Yeah- fine, just, uh, need the bathroom.”
“Ah,” Hyein smiles. “It’s down the hall to your right, I’m almost done with these.” Minji nods with a grateful smile, waiting until the young girl looks down again to get up, awkwardly leaving the room with a raging problem down below. Was it pathetic she got hard just from seeing boobs? Maybe a little- no, a lot. Minji was twenty year old woman, not a thirteen year old boy!
Man, she was such a loser.
After a few minutes of thinking about upcoming bills and finances, Minji’s problem softens, albeit disappointed it was denied any action. Just her luck, the younger bumps into Hanni as she’s leaving, the Vietnamese holding a basket of laundry.
“Oh- let me just scooch past you,” Hanni smiles and walks past.
Something about that smile tells Minji this wasn’t just her perving on her student’s mother.
As the weeks go by Minji’s tutoring sessions with Hyein become more intense as a huge mock exam stands around the corner. Minji had to say, she was impressed by Hyein’s dedication, the young girl herself requesting Minji stay longer just so they could get more work done. It was approved by Hanni and she even insisted she up Minji’s pay—who was she to say no? The older still made sure not to push her too much though, Hyein was only 14 and Minji had no doubt her teachers at school were pressuring her and the other kids enough, there was no need for her to add to it. Plus, Minji liked being known as the more laidback tutor.
“Unnie! I’ve been meaning to ask you something.”
Minji tilts her head. “What is it?”
“It’s not a math question but,” Minji chuckles, resting her chin on her fist and listening intently, encouraging Hyein to continue. “Mom planned for us to have a celebratory dinner if I pass the exam and… I was wondering if you’d like to join us?” The older blinks a few times in surprise and she opens her mouth but no words come out. Fearing rejection, Hyein quickly reassures her that she doesn’t have to. “It’s just if I do pass, it would all be thanks to you so…”
Minji lets out a fond breath. “You’re the one taking the test though, Hyein-ah… I’m just helping you a little with the things you don’t get, which, seem to decrease day by day~”
Hyein frowns a little. She was so used to having Minji around every week, the thought of no longer having her made her feel a little lonely. Sure she had many friends at school, but, Minji was like the cool older sister she never had. “I know that but… think about it! We’d both be really happy to have you celebrate with us.”
“Sure, let’s focus on passing the exam for now though, okay?”
“Okay!”
One trip to the bathroom later and Minji returns to Hyein’s room, quietly stumbling upon an endearing sight. The teen had literally studied until she dropped, cheek squished to the table with her pen limp in her hand, fast asleep. Because she’d been working so hard Minji doesn’t have the heart to wake her, she looks up at the clock in her room and finds they had been going at it for a good few hours now, way past seven pm. Minji should probably think about heading home.
Quietly, she packs away her belongings and leaves the room, only to be face to face with Hanni with a tray of tea in hand. That was the new routine nowadays, bringing the duo snacks around four and tea a couple hours later. The older woman tilts her head in confusion, stopping near the bottom of the staircase.
“Hyein’s fallen asleep.” Hanni’s facial expression morphs into one of love, a tender smile on her lips.
“I see…” she looks down at the tray, steam still rising from the hot beverages. “I’d hate to let this go to waste- well I could just put it in a thermos but,” Hanni looks back at Minji and her voice sounds almost…shy. “Minji-ah, would you like to have tea with me?”
Something tells Minji to just accept the invitation, finding herself following Hanni to the living room. The scene feels a lot more intimate with it being just the two of them and no Hyein to interrupt. Minji feels a little intimidated sat on the couch, tense with her legs pressed tightly together—which is very uncomfortable for her anatomy—trying to take up as least space as possible. Hanni chuckles softly, leaving a small distance between herself and Minji as she sits down.
“You don’t have to be so tense, Minji-ah, this isn’t some kind of interrogation you know.” Hanni smiles warmly, gently pushing a mug closer to the younger girl. It seems hand painted, did Hanni do that too?
“Is the cup hand painted?” She blurts out. Nice going idiot, maybe you should’ve thanked her for the tea first, Minji mentally facepalms, unsure if she’d be able to get through this social interaction. Talking with young people was easy but Hanni? She made Minji nervous. The past few weeks were intense with studying and everything but that didn’t mean Minji didn’t get more of these small moments with Hanni, whether it was her “adjusting” her shirts every now and then, a friendly shoulder pat, or even just sending Minji home with all kinds of baked goods. Minji could feel herself becoming more and more attached to Hanni and to be honest? The thought terrified her.
“Hm? Oh! It is,” she smiles, Minji’s heart skips a beat—she liked it when she’s the reason Hanni smiles. “I didn’t think you’d notice but yeah, i can be pretty crafty when I wanna be. It was originally plain white at first so I decorated it along with Hyeinie.” Minji hums and carefully takes the mug to sip the tea, jolting as the scalding liquid meets her tongue. Hanni shouldn’t laugh but a small giggle inevitably escapes her lips. “Ahh, you and Hyeinie are so alike… maybe that’s why you get along so well…”
“Is that a good or bad thing?” She chuckles nervously.
“It’s a great thing,” Hanni reassures, grabbing her own mug and blowing on her tea a few times. “I’m happy my Hyeinie has someone like you, you’re a great model.”
“M-Me? Role model? I don’t think-“
“Hush, it’s true,” Hanni sets down her mug after taking a sip. “I’m not saying she hangs around with a bad crowd at school but… you know how middle schoolers are- they’re so reckless sometimes, having someone sensible like you around so often puts me at ease.” Hanni says earnestly, finding the peachy hue settling on Minji’s cheeks adorable.
The younger feels her stomach doing cartwheels and backflips, that are Olympian gold medal worthy, at all the praise. She was just being herself, not trying to portray any kind of person she wasn’t. After all, she was only here to help Hyein with her grades and exams, yet, now after all Hanni’s comments Minji wants to be more sensible, more mature, even better for Hyein, just so she can hear Hanni speak so highly of her again. “I- I don’t know what to say.” She stutters, crumbling the sensible role model image and revealing her true nature, a nervous puppy.
“You dont have to say anything, I just wanted you to know that,” Hanni smiles a little, carefully scooting an inch closer to the Korean girl. “Your parents must be so proud of you, Minji-ah, you’re so put together already even though you’re so young… when I was your age I could only dream of being like you.” Hanni chuckles.
Minji hums sipping her tea, a sudden bitter taste appearing in her mouth at the mention of her parents. She tries to hide it but fails miserably. Or, Hanni’s just great at reading people. “Sorry- did I say something wrong? I didn’t mean to—“
Minji shakes her head. “No, there’s nothing wrong I just…” Minji bites her lip as if her brain is subconsciously trying to stop her from over sharing, she remembers where she is and who she’s speaking to—this wasn’t the place nor the time. Yet, as she looks up into Hanni’s warm eyes, laced with pure concern and even a hint of guilt for upsetting Minji, the line she’d sworn she’d never cross with anyone begins to blur. “I wouldn’t… say my parents… are proud of me.”
There’s no going back now.
“What?” Hanni’s brows furrow in genuine confusion and she looks away as if trying to contemplate something. “How… you’re- you’re like the perfect daughter, how could you think that?” Minji smiles sheepishly with a twinge of sadness, shaking her head.
“That’s not… not all moms are as great as you, Miss Pham.” Hanni smiles a little.
“I- well maybe you’re right but… they should be, I’m not even that great, I just do what I can for the people I love, including Hyein-ah.” Hanni slowly closes the gap more between herself and Minji, eyeing the younger to gage her comfort level. She never would’ve guessed Minji didn’t grow up in the most loving home, it was only natural to think the opposite with how level-headed and smart she was—surely her parents had to be the same? Apparently not. “I’m sorry, I hope I’m not making you uncomfortable or anything… I’m really grateful that you’re here, that you’re so good to Hyein, I’m always here if you want to chat.”
Minji nods, an odd feeling in her chest, her heart fuzzy and gooey from Hanni’s sincerity. The two drink their tea in comfortable silence together in the living room, surrounded by warm lightening and the occasional noise of the house settling. If Minji were to have an out of body experience right now, she’d look at herself from outside, through the window opposite her. She’d be able to see herself and Hanni enjoying the moment as if they were… something more.
It’s Hanni who cuts through the silence. “Did Hyeinie talk to you about the dinner?”
“Yeah, she did,” Hanni looks at Minji expectantly and glances down, not wanting her to feel pressured to answer. “I’m… not sure about it.”
Well that wasn’t a no!, Hanni smiles softly and secretly hopes to be able to convince Minji to join them. “I’m sure she said this already but you don’t have to, I don’t want to force you… I’d like it if you came.” Minji perks up at the change in wording.
I, Hanni herself. She specifically wanted Minji to eat with them. She wants to have Minji around and not just for the sake of tutoring her daughter.
“It wouldn’t be anything crazy, Hyeinie didn’t want to go to any restaurants so I would just make enough food for us three…” Hanni debates on whether or not she should say what she wants to say next. She does in the end. “And… I don’t know I thought…” she fidgets, lightly tapping her mug with her nail making a gentle ‘ting-ting’ sound. “I thought it would be nice for us to spend time together, just the two of us- like now, only if it’s okay with you.”
Minji’s speechless for a minute, tightly clutching her own mug. Her heart beats rapidly and she doesn’t think twice before agreeing. “Yes! I mean- yeah, that would be okay with me, if you want to.”
Hanni chuckles, Minji was so cute. “Of course I want to, I’m the one who asked, silly.”
“Oh- right.” Hanni can practically see the mental slap Minji delivers to herself, carefully reaching out to put a comforting hand on her knee.
“Hey,” she says quietly, Minji’s round eyes finding her own again. Hanni goes quiet to just look at her, like really look into her eyes. She was good at reading people as Minji had suspected but, the younger also just wore her heart of her sleeve, her concrete walls strong but see through. Her brown orbs are big and shiny, nervously darting all over Hanni’s face. “Shh…” Minji stiffens at Hanni’s touch, a small thumb gently rubbing her knee, she doesn’t know what’s happening or why but she allows herself to relax, the tension in her shoulders slowly melting away. “You’ve been through a lot, huh?”
“W-What? How do y—“
“I can see it in your eyes,” Hanni smiles sympathetically. “You don’t have to tell me anything… not if you didn’t want to, that is but, like I said…”
I’m here for you.
Minji curls up in bed that night and cries in the comfort of her own home, alone where she can freely express her emotions. However, any longer and she was sure she’d break in front of Hanni, Minji didn’t want that and was thankful for Hanni noticing the time which made her focus on Minji having to get home. That was a couple hours ago now but still Minji remembers everything that happened, every word, every touch, every look—even down to the smoothness of the tea, the sincerity in Hanni’s voice, the intimacy of it all.
That alone felt better than any therapy session Minji had attended in the past, even though she was sure Hanni didn’t sit her down with the intention of having such a deep conversation. Minji sniffles, longing for the older woman’s warmth again, if only she stayed a while longer, maybe she would have cried, maybe then Hanni would’ve pulled her into a tight embrace, maybe she would have—
Either way, it’s too late now, way past her bedtime. Minji dries her tears and tries to settle down, now wondering if the Vietnamese possessed some sort of magical power, noting how vacant her head felt. Within a few minutes she’s drifting off to sleep, dreaming a replay of the sweet moment exchanged between her and Hanni.
The following day, Hanni’s overjoyed to see a text from Minji, accepting the invitation to the celebratory dinner. At this point, even if Hyein didn’t pass the exam Hanni would still have the dinner go forward, just happy to have Minji around and, finally, beginning to open up to her.
Beyond being a good role model for Hyein, Hanni thought there were many other great qualities to Minji. Respectfully, funny (both intentionally and unintentionally), cute—Hanni had to admit she felt a little drawn to the younger, she was sure her own daughter was beginning to notice. It felt odd at first, liking someone more than ten years her junior, but Hanni couldn’t help it, though she always made sure to never cross any boundaries, respecting Minji’s space. Everything about the younger woman made Hanni want to hug her tight and never, ever let go but she knew she couldn’t do that, yet. One day, maybe, only if Minji would allow her to. Hanni thinks she’s been making progress though, slowly but surely, pushing open the heavy fire door to Minji’s heart.
Hanni’s door? It was always open, ready and waiting for Minji to walk right in.
Safe to say, Hanni was a complete mess. It was the day of Hyein’s mock exam, the young girl progressing through her morning routine all while nose deep in a trigonometry textbook. Her mom tries her best to stay out of her way, to not fuss, not wanting to pass on her own ball of nerves—that was not what Hyein needed right now. She needed to focus- remember all the formulas, all Minji’s tips and tricks—
Unexpectedly someone’s phone rings, Hyein pats herself down after noticing it was her own. Her signature toothy grin makes its way onto her face.
“Mom! It’s Minji unnie!” Hanni perks up almost immediately, swallowing her bite of toast.
“Answer it!” Hyein does, putting the call on speakerphone.
“Hyein-ah! Big day today, huh?”
Hyein whines, nodding even though Minji can’t see her. “Unnie, I feel like I’m gonna throw up…”
Minji laughs. “Don’t be nervous, you’ve got this! You’ve studied so hard these past few weeks, just think today’s the day where it’s all gonna pay off.”
“Not if I fail…”
Hanni chimes in. “You won’t fail! Minji and I believe in you, Hyeinie.” Minji perks up at the sound of the older woman’s voice, itching to talk to her but unable to find an excuse to—she focuses on Hyein, also known as the reason she was calling in the first place.
“Your mom is right, don’t let anyone get in your head okay? Or anyone else’s nerves get to you…”
Hyein sighs with a soft smile. “Thank you unnie… it really means a lot.” Minji smiles back on the other end.
“Of course, I’ll let you go now- you probably have to get going soon, right? Good luck!” Hyein grins, not ending the call without a million thank yous. True to Minji’s word she’s out the door a few minutes later, Hanni giving in and trapping her daughter in one last big hug before she leaves the house. Meanwhile, Minji is still sat on her couch with her phone, staring at her small list of contacts with her thumb hovering over Hanni’s contact.
God decides to have mercy on the poor girl, Hanni actually phoning her first. Minji damn near almost drops her phone out of shock, scrambling to press the green button and shoving the phone next to her ear.
“H-Hello?”
“Hey you,” Hanni giggles hearing Minji’s timid self through the phone. “Thanks for calling Hyeinie earlier, I think she really needed that, it was really thoughtful of you.”
“Oh,” Minji chuckles and swallows thickly, her throat suddenly having gone dry for some reason, her heart beating rapidly in her chest. “It’s no problem, really, I wish I had some better words of wisdom…”
Hanni shakes her head, smiling fondly. “Words of wisdom or not I think you helped…” she sighs. “I feel like I feel way more nervous than her and I have no idea why…”
“You’re her mom and you love her a lot, you want Hyein-ah to do well.”
Hanni nods. “How can you be so smart? It’s like you took the words straight out of my… heart.” She says quietly, Minji blushes at the unexpected answer. “Minji-ah, could I… ask you something?”
“Anything.” She says casually as if she weren’t freaking out on the inside, picking at the skin around her (now healed) thumb.
“Would you maybe want to… come over? I just realised that I have no idea what kind of foods you like so I’m not sure what to make for the dinner alongside Hyein’s favourites…”
Without a second thought Minji replies. “I have a class in an hour but I could make time- I mean, I could come over afterwards, if that’s okay, if you want to.” She says, surprised she didn’t stutter or trip over her words with how fast she was speaking.
“Of course I want you to, I’m the one who asked, silly.” Hanni giggles, getting a sense of deja vu.
Time couldn’t go any slower and at this point Minji doesn’t know why she even bothered to attend, missing one class wouldn’t hurt, she could be with Hanni right now but nope—so much for being a goody two shoes with an impeccable attendance record. Right now would probably mark the thousandth time she’d daydreamed about the older woman—her sweet smile, melodic giggles, body that curved in all the right places… Minji was hooked and afraid to let go. In fact, she was dreading the day she’d no longer need to tutor Hyein and no longer have an excuse to see Hanni. The thought alone made her want to spiral into a depressive state but she tries not to think about it, looking down to focus on her notes instead.
Today was supposed to be a happy day. A day for Hyein and to, hopefully, celebrate her success.
Fo the first time ever, Minji’s the first one to leave the classroom, practically bolting out of the door and making a beeline for the nearest bus station. Luck seems to be on her side as the wait turns out to be shorter than usual, maybe the stars were finally aligning. As she finds a seat to occupy, it hits her.
This would be her first time being completely alone with Hanni.
The night the two of them shared tea was one thing, Hyein wasn’t present but she kind of was, sleeping upstairs. Now with her being at school, the two of them would truly be alone. The thought scares and excites Minji at the same time and she’s lucky she doesn’t trip and fall flat on her face from how she rushed off the bus.
Hanni feels similarly, unnecessarily cleaning until she can see her own reflection in every surface. As if she weren’t way past her school girl years, Hanni checks her outfit—a tank top and shorts with a long cardigan reaching her ankles—you really couldn’t take the mom out of her even if you tried.
Hanni’s a lot better at hiding her nervous though, welcoming Minji in when she arrives, warm and friendly as she always did. She helps the younger with her bag and jacket, much like she did Hyein, leading her over to the couch.
“Thanks for having me over,” Minji says as if she hadn’t been here a million times already.
Hanni smiles. “Of course, you’re always welcome here, Minji-ah.” She glances at the time. “Hyein should’ve been done with her exam now… I hope it went well…”
“I’m sure it did, Miss Pham, I have a feeling she aced it.” Hanni giggles in response.
“I know, I’m just such a worry wart, you know?” She tilts her head. “You just got done with class right? What is it you study again?” She asks, leading herself and Minji into a lengthy conversation about her school life—what she studied, how her day to day was. Hanni didn’t think she could respect Minji any more than she already did yet the younger proves her wrong.
Minji blinks, confused by Hanni’s expression of awe. “Why’re you looking at me like that?” She scratches her neck, suddenly sheepish from all the attention.
“You’re… I’m… wow.” The two laugh at Hanni being rendered speechless. “Sorry, I’m just in awe really, that all sounds like so much work yet you do it all on your own… but, doesn’t that get lonely?”
Minji licks her lips and begins to fidget. She gets that same feeling again, wanting to hold back from sharing too much while simultaneously wanting to tell Hanni everything. “I… I guess it does, sometimes.”
Hanni nods sympathetically. “You know you deserve a break once in awhile,” her hand finds Minji’s knee again and squeezes reassuringly.
What happens next is something Minji is unable to explain.
Perhaps it was the way Hanni was looking at her, touching her, or maybe it was the fact that Minji had been bottling everything up for so long. Everyone has their breaking point, there’s only so much someone can hold in before they begin to crack.
Hanni’s eyes widen watching the girl’s eyes start to water, she starts to panic thinking she did or said something wrong. Instinctively she reaches up to wipe Minji’s tears though she quickly refrains as she doesn’t want to make her more uncomfortable, instead settling for carefully placing her hands on the younger’s biceps—gently caressing with her thumbs.
“Minji-ah? Is everything okay?” She asks softly, each tear staining Minji’s skin a tug on Hanni’s heartstrings. “Please, take your time…”
The Korean feels her body shake with sobs, her mouth opening and closing as her brain tries to force out words. She can’t with her exhalations becoming shaky from emotional distress. She can hear Hanni’s soft reassurances through her tears, a gentle light guiding her through the dark. Hanni feels her heart ache with yearning, just wanting to pull Minji close and dry all her tears, not being able to stand watching the younger fall apart like this.
“I… I…” Minji hiccups.
“Hey, hey, Shh…” Hanni switches to rubbing her back. “Deep breaths, Minji.” Minji nods a little, following Hanni’s example of deep breathing. It takes a few minutes but the older woman is patient, still rubbing her back even after she’d calmed down.
“I’m sorry I- I don’t know what came over me.” Hanni adamantly shakes her head.
“There’s no need for you to apologise, Minji-ah, did I… say something to upset you?” Minji sniffles, shaking her head a little which seems to grant Hanni a little relief.
“I guess… I guess nobody’s really told me that before…”
“That you deserve a break?” Hanni clarifies and Minji nods, patting at her cheeks with her sleeve. “But you do, everyone does—even me sometimes… Minji, when’s the last time you were able to relax?”
Minji gnaws on her bottom lip as she thinks the question over, her last night with Hanni being the only thing coming to mind. While she was still nervous around her at that time (at this point Minji was sure she’d always be nervous around her, no matter what) she felt at peace, warm and safe, a feeling she rarely felt even in her own apartment.
“When… when we had tea together… the other day.” Hanni smiles and a small blush forms on her cheeks.
“Really? That was relaxing for you?” Minji nods and the older feels her heart flutter, she wondered why making Minji feel relaxed and cared for was making her react in such a way but she lets her feelings be. “That makes me really happy to hear, we can do it again, you know, whenever you’d like.”
Whenever she’d like? Even when she’d be done tutoring Hyein?
“I’ll… keep that in mind.” Minji smiles softly.
Tentatively, Hanni reaches up to brush a few stray hairs from Minji’s face, taking in her prominent features. Minji’s glossy eyes stare back into her own, Hanni being happy to see a small glimmer of hope in them. But what could it be she was hoping for?
“You look like you need a hug.”
Minji’s heart rate instantly speeds up, beating rapidly against her ribcage. Her eyes shake staring back at Hanni, trying to search for any signs of insincerity, only to find none. Hanni watches the younger swallow, her adams apple bobbing with the movement, she could tell Minji was nervous but, if she were being honest, if Hanni didn’t get to hold the poor puppy close in the next few minutes, she might just explode.
“A-A hug?” Minji stutters, I couldn’t have heard that right.
Hanni nods with a patient smile. “Only if that would be okay with you… I always give Hyeinie hugs when she down and they seem to make her feel better… I just want you to be happy, too, Minji-ah.”
“O-Okay.”
“Really? You’re sure?” Minji nods. “Come here.” She says softly. Minji allows herself to finally fully be vulnerable and it’s a foreign but liberating feeling. Hanni welcomes it, gently pulling her close—her touch was so light you’d think Minji was a porcelain doll and maybe she was one, years of hurt and loneliness seeping through the cracks. The first place Minji finds comfort in is Hanni’s neck, dark and warm, able to hide her away from the harsh realities she’d had to face on her own. She thinks Hanni’s scent is unique but comforting with her honey scented shampoo and a hint of chamomile, a result of the tea she’d been brewing prior to Minji’s arrival. The younger feels her breathing grow steady the more she breathes it in, her eyes slipping shut as a small hand lovingly caresses the back of her head.
Without question, Minji knows.
This is what it’s like to be loved.
To be accepted in your rawest form, vulnerable and free from criticism. Up until now Minji had been existing but with her nose pressed just below Hanni’s ear, breathing her in, she feels alive.
Hanni smiles at the intimate touch, muttering softly. “Do you like how I smell?” The younger nods in response, hesitating for a moment before shifting impossibly closer. “Cute, here,” the older pulls Minji’s arms to wrap around her waist, chuckling softly as she’s squeezed tightly—as if Minji were trying to mould their bodies together. The skin by Hanni’s neck was quite sensitive and she has to resist the urge to squirm as Minji tries to inhale more of her scent, trailing her nose down near her carotid artery, all the way down to her collarbone. She’s reminded a lot of a puppy, though a less excited one. Either way she doesn’t mind, adjusting so that she can hold Minji close to her chest instead.
Not realising how much of a mistake that was.
The younger hadn’t even fully realised what she’d been doing until she slowly opens her eyes again, face to face (literally) with Hanni’s chest. Her choice of tank top meant much more skin was left exposed and, being her loser puppy self, Minji wasn’t sure how to react other than, you guessed it—staring. The older remain oblivious, content with raking her fingers against Minji’s scalp, absentmindedly humming a soft tune. However, the only thing Minji could hear was the sound of Hanni’s steady heartbeat, steadily beating against her ear and her own, thudding faster with each passing second. She looks so smooth, Minji blinks a few times, her eyes drying out from how hard she was staring and her hands twitching from the desire of wanting to touch them.
Noticing the prolonged silence Hanni looks down to check up on Minji, biting back a smile upon her current dilemma.
“Minji-ah,” she calls. The puppy freezes, caught red-handed (or eyed, rather). “Do you want to sniff there, too?” Hanni asks sweetly, leaving the Korean girl bewildered because did she seriously just ask her that?
Maybe it’s a little selfish but Minji had been denied a lot of things in life already, no? Just this once, let me have this.
She nods, her eyes still trained off the swell of Hanni’s breasts. The older angles herself more comfortably, carefully guiding Minji’s head to its destination, her nose doing the rest of the work leading her to the source of Hanni’s scent, so sweetly intoxicating she almost felt dizzy. Minji can feel her cheeks grow warm from the lack of air but she doesn’t care, whimpering whilst burying herself further in the dark cavern. Hanni cares though, so much, attempting to pull the puppy away, chuckling softly at her whines.
“Minji, baby, you need to breathe.” Minji whines at the reasoning, refusing to leave. Perhaps this is the result of some new found confidence but she raises her hands to cup the large mounds, pushing them closer together in an attempt to further suffocate herself and honestly Minji thinks she can die happily, surrounded by eternal warmth and sweetness that was Hanni.
“Hanni…”
The Vietnamese feels her heart soar at Minji finally abandoning the honorific’s but she manages to keep her cool, humming softly. “Hm?” Minji reluctantly pulls away to look up at the older woman, who, remains confused at the unrecognisable look in her eyes. A mix of shame also laced with… need? Hanni’s eyes travel south, landing on the new problem that had risen. “Oh Minji-ah you poor thing…” she coos, endeared by the sight of the newly formed bulge in Minji’s pants. “You’ve held so much in for so long… need my help?”
“Please…” Minji’s voice comes out small and timid though her situation down below seemed anything but.
“Remember I said you could always come to me,” Hanni uses one hand to tug down the front of her shirt, revealing the muted pink bra beneath. She can literally see the stars shining in Minji’s eyes, clearly giving away the fact she’d never seen a woman’s chest before, let alone this close up, Hanni feels giddy just thinking about all the other things she could expose the younger to, but, patience.
“C-Can I touch them?”
“Go ahead.” Hanni bites back a smile, watching the puppy’s curious touches. Her hands are large, fully covering each tit as she squeezes them. Minji’s positive she’s having the time of her life—Hanni’s chest was just as soft as she’d imagine, the smooth skin reminding her of jelly, not to mention they were also like big stress balls which, were very fun to play with. Looking up, the younger can see Hanni attempting to maintain her loving smile though even she starts to crack, her brows creasing as the pleasure slowly creeps in, soft sighs leaving her lips. “You’re doing so well…”
Minji blushes, using a finger to rub over the lace and watching Hanni’s nipple begin to harden, poking the fabric. Hanni audibly whimpers, her body jerking in response making Minji want to do it again, lightly rubbing her nail over the stiffening bud. “Does it- does this feel good?” She asks, still unsure with her insecurities trying to get the best of her, even at a time like this.
“So, so good, here,” the older takes a step further and pulls the lacy cup down, her breast spilling out with a soft bounce. Minji’s eyes widen almost comically to the size of saucers and she wallows thickly, wondering if she could actually handle this. Hanni doesn’t give her time to overthink though, taking it upon herself to grab Minji’s finger to continue the same ministrations, whining at the contact. All the younger can do is watch in awe at the woman before her uses her to please herself—she had to admit it felt better than she’d imagined, being used for Hanni’s pleasure, just the feeling of knowing it was her, Minji, who was able to serve her in this way felt addicting. “You— you love to stare, huh?”
Minji blinks. “S-sorry I-“
Shaking her head Hanni reaches back to undo her clasp. “No need to say sorry, baby, look all you want.” She says, giving Minji a break by taking matters into her own hands (literally). The Korean knew weeks ago that Hanni loved to tease so she shouldn’t be surprised as she sits here, unable to tear her eyes away from the scene playing out in front of her. Somehow it’s more erotic seeing Hanni’s smaller hands grope her chest with the soft flesh bulging slightly from between her fingers, she moans quietly at the familiar touch and Minji can only wonder if she does this often, her brain briefly conjuring up an image of Hanni, alone, touching herself.
“H-Hanni…”
“Shh, I know, I didn’t forget, baby… can I touch you?” Please I’m begging you, Minji nods a little too fast, groaning softly at the hand wrapping around her clothed cock, squeezing lightly. “Oh my… just how much have you been hiding from me, hm?” Minji doesn’t even hear the rhetorical question, too focused on the brown buds right in front of her—she bites her tongue, what if Hanni found her weird?
Oblivious the older continues, carefully unzipping the younger’s jeans and pouting at the damp spot she finds on her boxers. “Is it okay if I take these off?”
“Please,” Minji lays back kicking off her jeans, Hanni crawling on top of her as she tugs down the remaining barrier. She goes slack jawed as the thick length springs to life, hitting the exposed skin of Minji’s stomach with a dull thud.
“Holy…,” the older trails off, looking at Minji’s cock from every possible angle, inspecting it. Almost like she couldn’t believe she was so big, she certainly didn’t scream ‘big dick owner’ from her personality but at the same time, that was part of her charm. Minji shies away from Hanni’s gaze though her cock continues to stand proudly, twitching out of impatience. “Quite the big boy you have here, Minji-ah.” Hanni chuckles and begins moving her hands (plural because one hand her size wouldn’t get the job done) in slow strokes.
Minji moans softly, her fists balled by her sides, watching the Vietnamese crawl further up. Due to the change in position Minji’s blessed with Hanni’s tits in her face, which, actually was the perfect opportunity for her to hide away. The pup buries her face in them again, panting softly whilst inhaling her scent, her hips bucking up into her touch. Hanni coos, she would stroke her hair if she weren’t so occupied but she had to focus on the task at hand, her fingers now sticky from the steady trail of precum leaking from the tip of Minji’s cock, slicking her movements to make them more fluid.
Her chest feels warm from Minji moaning into it and, although cute, the shorter girl thinks she could be a little more productive. Minji whines momentarily at the loss of one of Hanni’s hand, said girl threading her hands through her dark hair and creating a gentle yet firm grip at her scalp, tilting the younger’s head back. The puppy’s eyes light up ah]gain, for once getting the hint and eagerly latching on to a nipple. Hanni gasps from the sensitivity, accidentally squeezing the younger’s cock in return—not that she didn’t like it, quite the opposite.
“Minji-ah…” she moans, trying not to push her further though Minji ends up doing that on her own, losing herself in the pillowy softness while suckling on the warm nipple. Determined to stay focused the older increases her pace, twisting her wrist, wracking her brain for all the things she used to do back in the day with past lovers.
“Feels—ah—so good-“
Hanni smirks a little. “Yeah? I bet you’d feel so much better inside me, I can only imagine how deep you’d be…” she groans softly. Minji’s hips buck wildly at the thought making the older woman laugh, her wrist starting to ache from how fast her tiny fist was going—that’s when an idea comes to mind. “Hold on a minute, I have an idea.”
The Korean girl’s face contorts into an expression of confusion, whining as Hanni leaves her cock, the tip an angry red with her shaft being slick from her own arousal, pulling her up into a sitting position. Her eyes widen upon watching Hanni shimmy out of her own shorts and under, both of them now naked from the waist down.
She swings a leg over Minji’s lap, taller than her for once as she sits down, cupping the girl’s cheeks to look into her eyes once more. “Hey there, cutie,” she smiles at the reddish hue creeping up on her cheeks. “Is this okay?” Hanni asks earnestly, still prioritising Minji’s comfort above everything else.
“Yeah this is- this is fine,” she swallows thickly.
“Just fine?” Hanni teases lightly, enjoying how quickly flustered the younger becomes. “Relax, baby, I’m just messing with you,”
Minji frowns and Hanni doesn’t even think twice to kiss it away. Minji’s brows raise in shock, the older feeling panic build up in her chest thinking she should’ve asked firs but her worries are quickly laid to rest, Minji wrapping her arms around her waist to hold her tightly. “Hanni…”
Hanni can’t put into words how much she enjoys hearing her name fall from Minji’s lips. She doubts she’ll ever get tired of it. “Yes?”
“Kiss me again… please.”
And who is she to say no? She ducks her head down to capture Minji’s lips in a proper kiss this time, soft, sweet and gentle like she was with everything else, assuming (and rightfully so) the younger hadn’t kissed anyone before. Minji gets the hang of things quickly, a subconscious attempt at trying to impress Hanni again and it works, the older humming in approval feeling Minji’s lips move against her own. If only I could’ve been this good when I had my first kiss.
As Hanni presses closer she feels something warm against her stomach. Minji continues kissing her and desperately ruts up into nothing which, Hanni found to be strangely adorable, like she had her own needy puppy who was incredibly patient, just taking what she was given and not daring to ask for more.
“You’ve been so patient…” Hanni mumbles, lightly tugging on her bottom lip evoking what had to be the cutest whimper she’d heard from Minji yet. “Should I finally reward you?”
Minji nods enthusiastically, her hips punctuating her desperation with another thrust. “Please.”
“Please what?” Hanni asks, wanting to hear the younger say her name again.
“P-Please mommy…”
Hanni grins and her heart swells with love and affection for the girl beneath her, the urge to protect her from all things bad in the world growing impossibly stronger. And also to give her the ride of her life. Hanni was expecting that at all and even Minji herself has no idea where it came from, a hidden desire from deep within, she supposes. The poor pup had waited long enough so Hanni doesn’t waste any more time, lifting her hips to line Minji’s cock up with her entrance, running the tip back and forth through her folds a few times making them both whimper.
“T-Tease…”
Hanni chuckles breathlessly. “I have to make sure I’m wet first, hm? Mommy did all the work for you just now, no?” Minji whines knowing the Vietnamese was correct. “Shh, it’s okay, you just—ah—have to make sure you make Mommy feel good this time.” Minji nods adamantly, happy to be given a goal- a purpose.
Now, it’s been a long while since Hanni had sex and as much as she had toys to use on the rare occasions she got time to herself, nothing could’ve prepared her for taking Minji. She begins her descent and immediately gasps, already feeling the stretch of the blunt tip breaching her hole. Minji’s unable to keep quiet herself, finding solace in nursing again, her pretty noises muffled by Hanni’s chest which, the older doesn’t mind as it’s a good distraction from the slight pain she’s experiencing.
“My god you’re huge… so thick too, you’re perfect, Minji-ah…” Hanni sighs, breathing through the next few inches she takes. Meanwhile Minji swears she’s in seventh heaven, sure she’ll never forget what being inside her first pussy feels like. It’s extremely hard not to cum on the spot, especially with how tight and hot Hanni is, like putting on a snug heated glove on a cold winter’s day.
“Mommy I— fuck…” Minji whimpers, feeling the air harshly get sucked out of her lungs as her cock reaches the hilt. Hanni has damn near tears in her eyes and she hasn’t even begun to move yet, positive the monstrous girth would actually tear her apart. But Hanni was a mom—she was used to challenges, especially big ones since her baby currently stood at five foot seven. “C-Can I move yet?” Minji clenches her fists respectfully behind the older woman’s back, patiently waiting for her next move.
“Slowly, okay?” Minji nods enthusiastically, her hands finding purchase on her hips. Just as she’s told Minji slowly pulls out as much as she can, moaning loudly when she thrusts back in again, feeling every bump inside Hanni’s pussy, gripping her with such force it was like it was taunting her to explode. Hanni exhales sharply, focusing on running her hands through the younger girls hair again, rocking her hips once she feels ready.
Minji takes a chance and reluctantly pulls herself from the comfort of Hanni’s neck, leaning back slightly in order to watch her. Minji can’t help but moan at the sight, Hanni’s head tipped back, tits jiggling from her hips moving back and forth and a string of curses tumbling past her lips.
Neither of them would be able to enjoy porn ever again.
Hanni moans loudly with the Korean girl leaning back in to play with her chest, noisily sucking on the pert buds like a starved infant.
“M-My baby, so greedy for—ah—mommy, huh?” She chokes out, now lifting her hips up and down to which Minji whines, the newfound movement jostling her about. “Sh- Shh, let mommy feel good, Minji-ah,” her eyes roll back and her body tenses, an orgasm right around the corner.
If only Hyein were much younger Hanni would still be lactating, then Minji would be able to—never mind.
“M-Mommy’s close, baby,” Minji takes the hint and slumps back to make Hanni fall against her front, allowing her to buck her hips and thrust upwards faster. Hanni wails loudly and reaches up to hold her hair in a messy ponytail, feeling like she was about to overheat, the other hand holds Minji tight against her neck, forcing her to continue her assault on her skin.
The older yelps when Minji hits that one spongy spot deep inside her, spots forming in her vision, Hanni orgasms without warning with one last cry, her walls tightly clamping down around Minji’s cock. Minji moans loudly in turn feeling a rush of sticky warmth coating her length, Hanni quickly going limp on top of her. She still hadn’t cum, somehow surviving the intense pleasure from Hanni’s orgasm, refusing to do so without explicit permission.
Hanni’s chest heaves with her hot breath fanning against Minji’s neck, still floating in the clouds. That was, no doubt, the hardest she’d ever came in her life.
“Minji-ah…” Hanni breathes once her soul returns to earth, slowly sitting back up. The puppy below her is all flushed and sweaty, three seconds away from blowing her load. Still, she holds back, wanting her mommy’s approval. “You didn’t cum?”
She shakes her head, Hanni pouting sympathetically. “Mommy was pretty selfish, huh? Would you like a treat, baby?” The puppy eyes she adores so much looks at her curiously, watching intently as Hanni removes herself from her lap and, instead, settles on the floor between her legs. Minji assumes Hanni would blow her or something but is sorely mistaken.
Hanni stands on her knees and cups her breasts, leaning forward to trap the younger girl’s cock between them. Minji thinks she dies and ascends to heaven and is brought back down again with Hanni spitting on her cock.
The image alone is enough but Minji holds on a little more, her balls uncomfortably tight, just to be able to watch. Hanni looks up at her with that same loving smile and cutely tilts her head whilst jerking her off, the smoothness of her honey-coloured skin a nice contrast compared to the walls of her pussy.
“Does that feel good, Minji-ah,” she whimpers nodding adamantly, her tip an angry red. Hanni giggles and ducks down, rubbing the flat of her tongue against the head, teasingly through her slit.
“M-Mommy, I’m gonna—fuckfuckfuck.”
“Hm? My baby’s gonna cum? Is she gonna make a mess all over mommy’s tits?”
“Yeah,” Minji whines loudly and her eyes screw shut, her body shuddering covered with goosebumps as she finally cums—and she cums a lot. Even Hanni gasps at the sheer amount, white ribbons staining her chest and a little bit of her chin, one sneakily landing on her bottom lip. Instinctively she licks it off, enjoying the salty taste.
Minji lays on the couch utterly spent, her eyes glossy and hair stuck to her forehead, sheen with sweat.
..
Later that day Hyein would burst through the front door, shouting her exam results for the whole goddamn neighbourhood to hear, jumping and waving her arms wildly in the air. Minji and Hanni would both congratulate and praise the young girl profusely.
Hyein doesn’t question why she found the two cuddled up on the couch when she came through the door.
Why?
Because everything just felt right.
