Digital health is definetely area which is the most interesting one in healthcare. Why? The potential to make an impact is almost limitless. And it has just scratched the surface.One example of impact. We did with the customer pre-procedure care pathway to cardioversion, which is one of the most structured processes in cardiology. Even from that, digital health leads to significant administrative work reduction and better patient experience. Having a single, continuous record for a patient provides a holistic view of overall health for better diagnosis and lifetime treatment.2)Better coordination of care– With digital records, clinicians can more easily coordinate and track patient care across practices and facilities. For example, the Mayo Clinic2offers a “one-stop care” system that provides the services a patient needs—office visits, testing, surgery, hospital visits—under one roof so services can be coordinated and scheduled over the course of a single visit, rather than time-consuming multiple visits. Clinicians across specialties and disciplines also collaborate on patient outcomes as a team to ensure better care.3)Sharing information– The ability to share information across disciplines, specialties, pharmacies, hospitals and emergency response teams as well as have on-demand access to charts via mobile devices allows for better and more timely decision making, particularly in critical situations.

However, issues in patient management and triage, particularly in high-demand telehealth lactation consultations, lead to LC burnout, unnecessary costs, and diagnostic delays. To address these challenges, this study introduces a pain assessment tool for telehealth lactation consultations, enhancing patient-provider communication through momentary assessment and AI mediation. It features a user interface with image quality assessment and condition classification algorithms, aiding remote diagnosis and triage. The tool guides patients and uses a severity-based feedback system, helping LCs prioritize cases. This method boosts tele-lactation service efficiency, streamlines LC workload, and serves as a model for specialized healthcare triaging. Future work includes refining the feedback system and evaluating the tool in clinical settings to standardize symptom severity grading and estimate its impact, potentially improving expert patient triaging in remote healthcare settings.
